GTN750Xi not starting up when launching MSFS2020 and C414AW

Hi,

Had this problem before but it magically started working. However, the problem is back again.

I start msfs2020 and i see the splash screen for TDS GPS GTNXi when msfs2020 is loading.
I now launch the Cessna 414 AW selecting the TDS GTNXi 750 livery of the plane.
The C414 AW loads up and the GPS GTNXi screens are black. This is normal. 
I switch on the battery and the avionics switch and now i expect the GPS GTNXi 750 to start up but nothing happens. Both screens just stay black.

Before i tested again i have updated TDS as much as i can. Both the trainer and the msfs2020 part as well as the GPS manager. See picture.

I tried to load the PMS50 GTN750 livery and now the screens start but i could not use GPS for navigation. Only VOR navigation would work. In GPS mode, when i pressed NAV on the autopilot, nothing happened. Also , the maps screens were showing the background fine but the magenta route lines were flickering. In GPS mode, the needle on the HSI was vibrating. 

I also include a picture of the cockpit when i am using the GTNXi 750 and after i have switched on the battery and avionics.
Perhaps not interesting but when i switch on the avionics , the autopilot shows 3 red lights like it's doing a self test before they go out.

Hello Jan,

Please do not use any PMS GTN liveries for the C414 and the TDS GTNXi, this is not how the product is designed to work.

Let's test this first. Please reboot the PC, then with MSFS closed, please start the TDS GTNXi from the desktop shortcut and click on the GTN750Xi button, does the screen light up?

Not to worry, we will get this sorted, we always do.

When i do that. A new screen opens up. The screen does not light up.
The new screen is labelled TDS GTN750Xi and it says Garmin and customer license, licensed to <My name>.
I clicked on Continue but the Norton antivirus first detected a suspicious file but after investigation it decided it was ok.
If i now click on Continue, nothing happens.

Hello Jan,

As you are running Norton, we suggest adding an exclusion for the GTN Xi PC Trainer:

C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTI\Production\GTI__GTN_Xi__20_42\app-20.42.2\bin\GTN_Simulator.exe

Here is what a customer with Norton pointed out as the procedure:
"goto security, then goto advanced security, click antivirus, and it brings you to this screenshot where you select the exclusions tab and add the path"

Problem solved!!!

I excluded the GTN_Simulator.exe file in Norton as you instructed and it works now. The panels are starting up when i switch on the avionics power in the C414.
