I believe my TDS installation is up to date.
Just tried an aircraft (Just Flight Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II) in VR for the first time.
It wasn't usable - though I could hear the "click", all button presses experienced at least a 10-second delay, and sometimes didn't do anything.
Regarding other aircraft in non-VR flights, I have a number of them, including the A2A Comanche and Black Square Bonanzas, Barons, and TBM.
The performance seems to be slow in these, too, particularly when compared to some videos I've seen, with noticeable lag and choppy animation after button presses.
What's the best way to troubleshoot this?

Hello,
As a first step to troubleshoot this: which antivirus are you using?
In addition, which version of MSFS are you running?
Please post a screenshot of the antivirus exclusions.
As well as let you know if the MSFS LocalState folder resides on a HDD/slower SSD.

Hello,
Thanks for the notes.
I'd rather not say which antivirus I use, but I don't have anything from TDS excluded. That said, nothing comes up in scans or operation.
I don't mind adding it as an exclusion, though. What should I add?
MSFS is 2020.
Regarding the LocalState folder, I don't see one, though I have a Steam installation, so not sure if I do... where should I look? MSFS is running on a secondary
NVMe drive, though I have TDS and Microsoft Flight Simulator folder on my main C drive (also NVMe.) The Packages folder in appdata > roaming >Microsoft Flight Simulator > packages also contains a TDS-GTNXi-Gauge folder.

Hello,
Not a problem at all on the antivirus name, however, as stated in the TDS GTNXI PDF manual, performance improvement section, we strongly recommend excluding the file names (as processes!) listed there, as this should greatly help with performance.
Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks again -
I've added both the Garmin & Flight simulator .exe files to my exclusions and fully restarted.
I haven't tried yet in VR, but in standard mode, using the Just Flight Warrior II, the GTNs are still quite laggy. For example, when clicking to open the Map, it's nearly 3 seconds before it's open, and the opening animation is pretty choppy.

Thank you for the information.
We will need a screenshot of the antivirus exclusions to be able to help you further.
How does the TDS GTNXi work with MSFS closed?

I'm logged in here, so posting this, but can no longer log into the site or app.
I've reset my password and can log back in. However, in the software, I get a message that an update is available; but the installer says the GTNXi PC Trainer is "Not Installed" (which it is), and if I try to install, I get the message shown here.

Hello,
Let's try this:
With the TDS GPS Manager closed, start the base Aviation Trainer launcher, access the Version Manager tab, then scroll down until you find GTNXi PC Trainer component V20.42.2 and install it.

It's already installed.
I also have 21.3.7.0 installed - should I remove that one?

In this case all should be good. Version 21.3.7.0 is not yet supported by the TDS GTNXi so we would recommend removing it for the time being.
