Start up
#1
Hi guys,

The last update has messed up my start up for the 750 and 650 onto 2 RSG units.

Prior to the update, the TDS sim program would start, display onto my standalone hardware and work flawlessly...the update has put paid to that and I cannot get them to display consistently, yes, they display but as soon as simconnect connects they crash and I cannot restart them as it says they are in gauge mode. I thought updates were supposed to make things better, not worse.

I have tried every way of trying to get them to remain displayed to no avail. I have read the manual and there is not really a guide on how to start up the units so they remain running.

Please could the admins provide me with a start up sequence, I see there is a standalone checkbox in the settings, I check that will they work, if I have it NEVER holds my setting so have to go through the whole process again.

Thank you

Hello Dave,

The solution is very simple, you have to manually enable the beta standalone mode by creating the empty standalone.txt as described in the release notes listed below:
http://www.forum.tdssim.com/thread-15.html

Of course that each TDS update makes things better, hence why we update our software and we constantly strive on improving it, such as working on other planned features that will make the TDS->RSG compatibility even better.

No, the TDS GTNXi does not crash, it enters into gauge mode, hence why the standalone windows hide. You just need to follow the instructions above and all will be fine for your specific setup.

Best regards.

Thank you, I have created a dummy text file but for some reason copied the wrong text.

I assume the inverted commas are not copied and I can name the file anything I wish.

Hello,

The file name: Standalone.txt must be the exact name, character by character. In case you have any other standalone mode questions, we invite you to our Discord channel to address them. As always, please enjoy the TDS GTNXi Pro!
