Hi there!

I would like to control the GTNXi in the virtual cockpit of my plane using my Android Tablet.
I can do something similar with the FMC of the PMDG 737 with Aviaworx AviaCDU.

Is this possible for the GTNXi? With the GTNXi being touch and all that, there isn't much I can map to my hardware buttons, just the knob and the Home and DCT TO buttons. Having the possibility to control it via an external tablet would be great.

If it's not possible at the moment, any chance you would consider adding this feature in a future update?

Hi,

I just ran the TDSManager tool to install the software. I logged in no problem,
and the trainer installed without error. However when I went to install the TDS 750xi 
I get errors, then when I try to run it, I get "Wrong DLL present" error. 

Is there a fix for this?

I love the new GTN - much better user experience than the "old GTN" thank you so much!  

I am wondering if you could create/add some more button commands to allow one to fully control the unit without using the touchscreen (use case is for VR if one despises VR controllers).  I have a full HOTAS setup and use buttons plus the occasional mouse (mapped to a ministick on HOTAS) and being able to map functions to buttons would be awesome - for example the Back icon, or the MSG and Menu icons on the bottom...or the Charts icon from Home screen?  I can get to many screens just using the FMS encoder - but not all of them.  

Even a list of writable datarefs would suffice so I can create my own commands with FlyWithLua.  

Please??? 

Hi, just bought this and it works great to replace my "old one".
However one thing it seems not able do compare to the old one is it can't disable Audio Panel and XPDR panel (for both 750 and 725). which can free up 6 user fields for GPS if I already have other audio and xpdr panel in the cockpit.
According to Garmin's menu it requires GMA LRU to have these panel. but in System-External LRUs page, there is no GMA connected.
The "old one" could enable/disable them easily in setting menu, or in it's ini file, use "UseTransponder = false UseAudioPanel = false" to change.
Is there anyway to change it for now? if not, if there is any plan to add this function in the future? thanks!
   

I can't access the program settings and the screen remains dark. What should I do?

About 2 weeks ago, my TDS GTNXi Pro stopped working.  I've re-installed several times, but it will not power on in the sim (FS2024).  The desktop version works fine.  I don't know what else to do.  It has been working fine for years (FS2020 through FS2024).

I tried to install it using TDS GPS Manager, but I got the message "Exceeded Maximum Number of installs
Please Contact Support." Can you help me with this?

I have been depending on sim/cockpit/radios/gps_course_degtm to change immediately on a leg change in the GTN, including direct-to or flight plan, and regardless of the CDI mode (VLOC or GPS). In 1.0.0.2, now if the GTN is in VLOC, changing GPS leg does not update the DTK in sim/cockpit/radios/gps_course_degtm until the CDI button is twigged to GPS then back to VLOC. Until you twig it, sim/cockpit/radios/gps_course_degtm retains the previous leg's DTK. Is this what you intended for the fix "Incorrectly setting the NAV OBS Datarefs when in VLOC mode" in the release notes?

However sim/cockpit/radios/gps_dir_degt is updated immediately. I was able to read this, add the magvar, and thus get the magnetic DTK that way. It seems like  sim/cockpit/radios/gps_course_degtm should always indicate the DTK of the current leg, or 0 if no leg. Or maybe this is what you intended for "Incorrectly setting the NAV OBS Datarefs when in VLOC mode" in the release notes?

I just thought you'd like to know. I know this is an obscure problem! If you discover that this was unintended part of the fixes for 1.0.0.2, please include that in the next release notes so I can undo my hack in code. Thanks.

As you can see from my earlier post today, I am very impressed with TDS GTNXi!!!

I applied the 1.0.0.2 update this afternoon, and upon restarting I was greeted with empty black screens on the GTNs. Nothing else changed, I had been flying just minutes before. 

Solution: Go to your ...X-Plane 12\Resources\plugins folder and you'll now see two similar sub-folders: TDS-GTNXi with an older date and TDSGTNXi with today's date or when you updated to 1.0.0.2. The later one is correct, and the TDS-GTNXi (with the hyphen) is a fossil from the older version. Delete it, leaving only the  TDSGTNXi folder. Stop and restart X-Plane. You should now see the normal startup screen in the two GTN units. 

After doing this I had a problem where as soon as clicked Continue, the #1 unit started flashing between screens and would not start up. I was able to start the #2 unit normally. Then I killed X-Plane again and restarted. This time both units started normally and as far as I can tell all is OK.
