update 1.0.0.8 broke the VR pop up
#11
Hello,

Thank you for the information.

In regards to this: "but I'm not sure if this is the RDR-2000 that you were referring too"
Can you please select the default Baron, without enabling/showing the TDS GTNXi and click on the pop-up WX RDR gauge, located on the copilot's side, then show us a screenshot?
Unfortunately the screenshot provided does not display the WX radar gauge provided as default in X-Plane 12.3!

I don't fly the Baron, but sure I would. I fly the Thranda PC-12 and Bonanza F33A. By the way, the WX of your module never works, but let me try to click on the WX RDR in a Baron for you and share a screenshot later.

This is correct, we do not yet support WX in the TDS GTNXi. However, we kindly ask to please help us with the test/screenshot using the default Baron.

Thank you.

I am having the same problem as the OP except I already have version 1.0.0.7

How can I pop out the GTN's in floating windows in XP12 VR? Other plugins such as avitab are fine. When I pop the GTN windows out I get a 2D panel outside VR but nothing inside VR. It doesn't matter if I click on the GTN or select "show window" from the plugin menu.

Thanks!

PS. I can't see the windows popping out anywhere random, I've had a good look, it's as if they don't pop out at all.

Hello,

As part of the new X-Plane 12 Custom Avionics Devices, we have been advised to use this new drawing method for drawing pop-up gauges.

Unfortunately, based on these comments, it seems that Custom Avionics Devices do not work in VR. The current X-Plane 12 SDK does not have any information on VR mode and the simulator itself does not set the windows into VR mode. From our end, as a plug-in, there is nothing that we can do in these regards until such functionality will be added by the core simulator.
As add-on developers, we have been advised to move to the new X-Plane 12 Custom Avionics Devices, so by adhering to industry standards, there is a regression.

We will look into what can be done on our end and inquire with the LR team, as a possibility we may have to revert back to the previous drawing method until this situation clears up.
In the meantime, anybody who is affected, please contact us via DM on our Discord @TDSSim
Or via the support email address: support@tdssim.com

And we will provide a new version.

We are sorry for this, but it seems that this double edge sword is affecting users as well and puts everybody in a tight situation.

Thank you very much, we are onto this reported issue, so we can combine both VR and the X-Plane 12 custom avionics devices. As soon as the combined functionality will be available from within the core simulator, we will update the TDS GTNXi XPlane accordingly and post this in our release notes.
