MSFS 2024 Cessna 185F Integration Not Working
#1
I have installed several of the mods for the default MSFS 2024 aircraft and noticed in the last few days that the Cessna 185 mod is no longer working.  It is back to the default GNS430 and Bendix radio stack.  I really miss the autopilot included with the mod  Confused .  I am on the SU4 beta so that may have something to do with it.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod several times including redownloading it with no success.  Any ideas on what I can do to get it working again?

Thanks, Eric

Hello Eric,

We are sorry to hear of the issue.

No, we do not know of any issues with the marcfsx C185 TDS GTNXi mod. We have just tested it in MSFS 2024 SU4 beta and it seems to be working fine.
Do you have any other C185 mods that may interfere? if so please remove them, as a test.

We would also check for proper installation of the marcfsx C185 MSFS 2024 community mod. As this could be the cause of the bezels not showing up, provided that you have removed other C185 mods.

As always, a fresh redownload of the TDS mod is a good idea.

Please let us know how it goes.

I did pull a fresh download of the mod and reinstalled it yesterday before making my post. I also have no other mods installed for the C185.  I do have several of the other mods for default aircraft from marcfsx installed and have verified they are all loading and working correctly.  The installation path is the same for all of them, which in my case is a custom Community folder location (set as C:\zzMSFSPackages\Community).  This morning I tried downloading the C185 instead of streaming, tried disabling it, then re-enabling it after rebooting the sim with no success.  It only loads with the default panel configuration.

Hello,

As a test, can you please temporarily move out of the MSFS 2024 Community folder all mods except:

tds-gtnxi-gauge
marcfsx-instruments-tdssim-gtnxi750
marcfsx-instruments-tdssim-gtnxi650
marcfsx-tdsgtnxi-integration-c185f

In addition, check the MSFS 20204 Marketplace/My Library that the marcfsx C185 mod is not Disabled!

Please let us know how it goes.

Done - still the same result.  Here are screenshots of my community folder with everything else removed, the MSFS library showing the same, and the loaded C185 with the default panel configuration still showing.

Thank you, we have asked MarcFSX for advice.

In the meantime, can you please enable DevMode in MSFS 2024, then while in flight, lookup the Debug/Console for errors pertaining the marcfssx C185 mod?

This seems to be a localized issue as the MarcFSX C185F mod works fine in MSFS 2024 SU4 beta.

Another item to test, can you please install another default MSFS 2024 mod and see if it works, of if this is isolated to the C185 mod?

Thanks for the quick responses!  I loaded in the C172 mod and it is working as expected.  Where should I look withing the debug menu for info relating to the mod? I am not very familiar with devmode. I clicked through some of the aircraft menu entries under debug but did not find anything.

A new problem has arisen.  I see a prompt to update the software to version 1.3.0.4 and when I attempt to do that, the installer hangs and I have to shut it down through the task manager.  I left it open during dinner hoping it would finish but it was still frozen when I went back to it.

I have redownloaded the TDSGPSManager.exe today after a couple attempts to install the update.  It still hangs after installing the latest version, 1.0.1.6.

My antivirus is also disabled, I verified that.

Hello,

Let's discuss the install issue first.

Please follow these instructions:

Reboot the PC, temporarily disable the antivirus, then re-run the TDS GPS Manager as an administrator (right click on the executable, select run as administrator).

Install the TDS GTNXi Pro for MSFS.

Please let us know how it goes.

Additionally it may be worth contacting us via DM on Discord: @TDSSim

As far as the previous post, it is the Debug Menu, then the first option: Console. There look for errors pertaining to the marcfsx C185 mod (as there could be a lot more, not pertaining to the mod). It is also worth waiting on marcfssx to provide his feedback.

After taking the extreme measure of temporarily removing my antivirus software completely (Bitdefender), rebooting the computer, and again redownloading the manager, I was able to complete the installation.  I spot checked a few aircraft, default and 3rd party, and the GTNXi's are loaded and working with the exception of the C185 which is still in the default panel configuration.

I have attached the errors copied from the debug console and all entries related to the term "marcfsx".  Hopefully these help.  I am not a programmer so I don't necessarily know what to look for beyond that term search.

I am happy to move this conversation to Discord if it would help. . .

Thanks!
